News:*** "Stop Press" ***Stockport is running a mini meet prep series for swimmers aged 9 and under , entry fee is £22 for 9 years and £ 18 for 8 years and under for the whole series so is very good value for money as well as being a great introduction to competitive swimming. Please let Wayne know if your child is interested in taking part.

Summer Swim CampSummer Swim Camp 2011, Road to the Olympics - Tuesday 30th August to Friday 2nd September, Avondale Leisure Centre 9.00 - 12.00, furthers details here... George Morreals - 5K SwimathonGeorge swam the Swimathon for Marie Curie Cancer Care for the 6th time at Withington Leisure Centre, he swam in 2003, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010 and 2011. In between his normal Gala dates and training. Once again he beat his previous years time. He came 2nd overall throughout the UK with a time of 1 hour 2 seconds point 45 in the 5k (200 length) challenge. This time was achieved whilst sharing a lane with 5 other swimmers. Don't forget to Support our Waterpolo TeamFestival of Waterpolo... Manchester Aquatics - 9th July 2011Just a reminder to all club members that the waterpolo team will be competing in the Festival of Waterpolo being held at Manchester Aquatics on the 9th July please come along and support your team members it was a brilliant competition last year and looks set to be bigger and better this year... Stop Press... Tameside Tornados, Stalybridge's Water Polo Team finished 10th out of Twelve teams a brilliant result for our first competition, congratulations and well done to all who took part and helped... Our ClubStalybridge swimming club is a local club based at The Copley Centre, Huddersfield Road, Stalybridge. We are a not-for-profit organistaion and training sessions are available 4 times a week, we have a team of experienced coaches and pool staff. As a swimming club we cater for all ages and abilities from 4 1/2 to ?? whenever you decide to hang up the trunks, through our beginner sessions to our masters.
We also have a waterpolo training sesion on Saturdays at 6:30pm-7:30pm for those of you that prefer ball sports. For more information on waterpolo see the new area of the website. |
